New bait options available – Antixx and Firefighter

31 Jul
Bottle of Antixx

As of 2020, two new granular baits have been approved for use in the State of Hawaiʻi in the battle against Little Fire Ants. Antixx and Firefighter are corn grit granules, soaked in oil and laced with the toxicant Spinosad, which is derived from naturally occurring soil bacterium. It begins killing ants, including the queen, within 24 hours. These products have some edible crops on the label, so please be sure to read the label to see if this product is right for you!

Antixx comes in a 2 lb jug and Firefighter is packaged in a 10 lb bag. These products are currently available at Simplot and Nutrien.
